What are invisible braces?
It is a form of orthodontic treatment que offers a discreet, comfortable way of straightening your teeth. Unlike traditional braces, which are visible and sometimes uncomfortable, invisible braces use clear aligners made to measure for your teeth.
At our dental clinic in Alicante we fit aligners from Spark and Invisalign, the leading systems on the market.
They are removable, so you can eat, brush and floss without any fuss.
The advantages of invisible braces
Barely noticeable: being clear, the aligners are practically invisible, so you can smile without thinking about them throughout the treatment.
No ulcers: made to measure, they fit your mouth exactly and avoid the rubbing you get from traditional brackets and wires.
Easy to keep clean: because they come out, brushing and flossing carry on as normal throughout the treatment.
Predictable: with software such as our iTero scanner we can map the movements and show you the end result before starting.
Invisible braces or traditional braces?
There are clear differences between the two. Which one suits you depends on what matters most to you.

The technology we use
We use the intraoral scanner to plan every invisible braces treatment
No more putty impressions
Forget the discomfort of silicone or alginate impressions. The iTero 3D scanner replaces plaster moulds with a digital process that is quick, comfortable and clean. It lets us capture your teeth precisely without any of the old unpleasantness.
A detailed view
With the intraoral scanner we get a complete three-dimensional model of your mouth. It shows the current state of your teeth in real time and lets us plan the orthodontic treatment precisely.
Seeing the result first
One of the most useful things the iTero 3D scanner does is show what your smile will look like with Invisalign or Spark. In about 15 minutes, the software works through the 3D images and shows you a simulation of your smile after treatment.
Accurate and efficient
El 3D orthodontic scanner no solo is ideal for invisible braces, but also for a wide range of dental diagnoses. From analysing the smile to spotting bruxism and deep decay, it lets us plan treatment in a great deal of detail.
How invisible braces treatment works
Free first visit
It starts with a free first visit at our clinic in Alicante. We look at your case individually and tell you what your options are.
Full diagnosis
If that first visit shows you need orthodontic treatment, we use the iTero 3D scanner to capture your teeth precisely. This stage includes 3D analysis, photographs and, where needed, X-rays.
Your treatment plan
From that diagnosis we build a plan around your case, including what the end result will look like. Thanks to the iTero simulation you can see your finished smile before you start.
Making and fitting the aligners
With the plan settled, your aligners are made to measure. Each set is designed to move your teeth gradually into position. At a later appointment you get your first aligners and we show you how to wear them.
Check-ups and adjustments
Through the treatment you come in regularly so we can check progress and give you the next sets of aligners. These visits are what keep the treatment on track.
Finishing the treatment
Once your teeth are where they should be we finish the treatment, and we go over the final steps to make the result last.
Retainers afterwards
You will almost certainly need retainers. Depending on your case they can be fixed or removable. They hold the teeth in their new position and protect the work done.
