What is a platelet-rich centrifuge?
In dentistry, the platelet-rich centrifuge is used for a technique that uses the patient’s own platelet-rich platelet-rich (PRP) to speed up regeneration and healing.
It involves taking a small amount of blood from the patient, which is then spun in a centrifuge to separate its components, to obtain the platelet-rich platelet-rich.
What is PRP used for in dentistry?
Faster healing and regeneration: it helps tissue regenerate, which is useful when placing dental implants, after extractions, and for periodontitis patients who have lost a lot of bone.
Shorter recovery: using the patient’s own platelet-rich platelet-rich shortens recovery and reduces pain and bleeding after surgery.
Safe and effective: because the platelet-rich comes from the patient, there is no risk of rejection or side effects.
Versatile: it can be used in a wide range of dental procedures, which makes it a valuable tool in modern dentistry.
Where do we use it?
Each of these uses shows what platelet-rich platelet-rich from the centrifuge can do:
Dental implants
It plays a key role in helping the implant bond with your bone. Applying platelet-rich platelet-rich at the implant site stimulates bone regeneration and speeds up healing, so you recover faster.
Bone regeneration
If you need bone regeneration, for example after advanced periodontitis, PRP can be very helpful: it encourages faster, better-quality bone growth.
Extractions
Extractions such as wisdom teeth benefit from platelet-rich platelet-rich, which reduces swelling and speeds up healing. That means a quicker, more comfortable recovery for you.
Surgery
In periodontal and maxillofacial surgery, platelet-rich platelet-rich improves the outcome. It helps tissue heal and regenerate, which matters most in complex procedures where good tissue recovery is essential.
How the PRP procedure works
Initial consultation
At your first visit we assess whether PRP treatment suits your case, depending on the dental procedure planned.
Blood sample
Before the surgery or procedure, if we are going to use the centrifuge, we take a small amount of blood. It is just like a standard blood test and is done at the clinic.
Centrifuging
The blood goes into the platelet-rich centrifuge, which separates the platelets and platelet-rich from the other components and concentrates the growth factors.
Preparation
Once centrifuged, the PRP is prepared for use. It contains a high concentration of platelets and growth factors that strongly support tissue regeneration.
Application
The PRP is applied directly to the treatment area, such as the implant site or the extraction socket, to stimulate healing and regeneration.
Follow-up
After the procedure we schedule follow-up appointments to check your recovery and see how well the PRP treatment has worked.
